I’m Kelly Grobler, a driven and dynamic Production Manager with over 12 years of experience in the South African film industry, specialising in TV commercials. People call me a production machine which is reflected in my work ethic, passion and enthusiasm that fuel my commitment to every project. My career started as an assistant editor, where I gained invaluable insight into the technical side of filmmaking. However, I soon discovered my true passion, and skillset lay in the production world. I thrive on creative problem-solving, logistics, challenges, and working closely with the people that bring a shoot to life. My approach is defined by my go-getter attitude, addressing each project with care, consideration and a commitment to finding a solution to any obstacle, task or challenge. For me, I take great pride in making any request or requirement a YES, making the seemingly impossible a reality, and striving to obtain a mutual agreement that works for all parties.

As a natural leader, an excellent communicator, and solution-oriented thinking, I am a multi-talented production engine who excels in high-pressure situations. My multitasking ability is a strength that is crucial in handling the demands of a shoot, and getting the job done. I utilise a keen attitude and strong skills in teamwork, communication, and negotiation to succeed. My many years of experience have created a wide network of contacts, enabling my team to find the resolution to any requirement or extraordinary request. I pride myself on being a solid team member, and I'm dedicated to supporting all heads of departments to ensure we achieve the creative vision of the shoot on time and in budget. I firmly believe that no project is too large or too small, and every problem or challenge has a resolution. My passion for efficient, organised, and creative project management ensures that I not only deliver results but also build positive, professional environments where creativity can thrive, bringing a project from pre-production to shoot to post-production with a seamless flow.

My extensive experience covers all components of a production machine, from juggling the budget, strategic planning, to logistics and scheduling, my blood & brain pumps with an enthusiastic can-do attitude. I take great pride and care in my work, with a belief that all components, from crew to suppliers and beyond, bring an immense value to the shoot, which I reflect in the working relationships, and ensuring the success of the job. Listening to people and finding a solution to a problem, issue, or budget is something I truly thrive on and pursue with gees, and determination. I’ve worked on a range of productions, from car shoots, airlines, software, fashion, away shoots, local and service, you name it, I’ve done some things. I am particularly adept at managing the unique demands of car commercials, where planning, logistical and intense problem-solving are paramount. Building the blocks of a shoot from the ground up inspires me, and I’m constantly learning from the aspects of the unique aspect of each production.

My deep passion for crew and mentoring, combined with my extensive industry knowledge and commitment to genuine relationships, led me to establish Dream Team Crew. The agency was founded on the belief that a thriving crew elevates an entire production, and works to meticulously connect the right people with the right projects.
